Kia Optima races into hybrid record book

The Guinness Book of Records, he adds, has listed the Optima hybrid as the hybrid with the lowest fuel consumption. "A model was driven throughout all of the 48 continental states," he reports. "The vehicle used only 51/2 tanks of fuel to cover 12,700 km.

"It's also the only hybrid on the market that can get you close to 100 kilometres per hour."
