The Boston Globe Names the Kia Optima One of the Top Drives for 2012
"With its powerful combination of world-class design, advanced technology, turbocharged performance and outstanding value, the Optima has been turning heads since arriving in showrooms in January and demand has outpaced supply all year," said Michael Sprague, vice president, marketing and communications, Kia Motors America (KMA). "Kia is the fastest growing car company in the U.S. and earning a spot on The Boston Globe's Top Ten Drives List adds to our unprecedented momentum heading into 2012."
The Boston Globe 2012 Top Ten Drives List spans a wide range of vehicles and prices in all segments, but they all feature key core traits such as excellent performance, quality construction, fine details and solid value.
About the 2012 Optima
The 2012 Kia Optima stands apart from the crowd with its head-turning design, fun-to-drive performance, modern amenities and long list of standard safety features. Kia's second U.S.-built vehicle offers drivers cutting-edge technologies, including a standard eight-speaker Infinity audio system, HD Radio, and Kia's UVO powered by Microsoft voice-activated infotainment and communications system with a starting MSRP of $19,500.
Design-Led Transformation and Product Line
Kia Motors has undergone a dramatic, design-led transformation, which has been delivering dynamically styled vehicles in several important segments at exactly the right time, contributing to the brand's continued gains in U.S. market share. Kia is poised to continue its momentum and brand growth through design innovation, quality, value, safety features and new technology. Kia's commitment to the U.S. market is represented by its U.S.-based manufacturing facilities in West Point, Georgia – KMMG – which is responsible for the creation of more than 10,000 plant and supplier jobs and added the critically-acclaimed Optima midsize sedan to its production line in September. The Soul is Kia's top-selling car!
But for 2012, the youthful Soul is restyled for a more high-tech look, has more powerful, yet more fuel-efficient engines, new six-speed transmissions and more features, including an infotainment system with voice recognition. Kia even offers 18-inch wheels now.
This model year, the five-door Soul also adds Idle Stop and Go (ISG), which automatically turns off the engine when the car is at idle, such as at a stoplight, and then automatically restarts the engine when the driver's pressure on the brake pedal lets up. The ISG, which is commonly found on gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles, helps conserve fuel.
What's not changed: The front-wheel drive Soul hatchback retains its industry-leading warranty coverage, which includes 10 years/100,000 miles for powertrain and five years/60,000 miles for limited, basic car coverage.
And it still comes standard with lots of safety equipment, such as traction control and electronic stability control, six air bags and antilock brakes.
Best of all, the Soul, which is a recommended buy of Consumer Reports magazine, remains priced below many competitors.
Starting manufacturer's suggested retail price, including destination charge, is $14,650 for the base Soul with 138-horsepower, 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission.
But the lowest retail price for a 2012 Soul with automatic is $1,800 more, or $16,450.
The 2012 Soul is offered with a larger, 164-horsepower, 2-liter four cylinder with a starting MSRP, including destination charge, of $17,050.
Competitors include the boxy-styled, Nissan cube, which has a starting retail price of $15,500 as a 2011 model with 122-horsepower, 1.8-liter four cylinder and six-speed manual transmission. The competing 2012 Scion xB has a starting retail price of $17,030 with 158-horsepower, 2.4-liter four cylinder and manual transmission.
Note that the federal government's top fuel economy ratings of 27 miles per gallon in city driving and 35 mpg on the highway for the 2012 Soul with base engine are better than the fuel ratings for the cube and xB. For example, the 2012 xB's mileage rating is 22/28 mpg.
The Soul has become Kia's top-selling car, with sales topping 92,600 through the first 11 months of this year. This is up 52 percent from the same period a year ago.
No doubt buyers are attracted by the Soul's value for the price.
Standard equipment on all models includes ample cargo space, Sirius XM satellite radio (buyers must subscribe to keep this satellite radio beyond the complimentary tryout period), dual-level glovebox, air conditioning, power door locks, outside mirrors and windows, as well as USB/auxiliary jacks.
The test Soul, a Plus model with the larger four cylinder and six-speed automatic transmission included Plus standard features like keyless entry, Bluetooth phone connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, audio controls on the steering wheel, two powerpoint outlets and metal-look interior trim — all for $18,050.
At just 13.5 feet long from bumper to bumper, the test Soul fit easily into compact parking spaces and handled nimbly in tight spots.
But inside, the feeling was anything but tight. The 5.3-foot-tall Soul provides 40.2 inches of headroom in the front seat and 39.6 inches in the back seat, so even tall riders don't feel constrained. This is akin to the headroom inside a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox sport utility vehicle.
This ample headroom isn't achieved by forcing riders to sit low to the pavement. Rather, it's the product of a roofline that doesn't slope much until it's behind the back seats. In the test Soul, passengers had good views out of the vehicle and to the traffic ahead, though we still couldn't see over or beyond big pickup trucks or vans.
Be aware, though, that three adults in the back seat sit close to each other, even if the generous 39 inches of rear-seat legroom meant no one's knees touched the front seatbacks.
Note that rear seatbacks are split 60/40 and fold down to extend the 19.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats to an SUV-like 53.4 cubic feet. It wasn't difficult to load items inside since the flat cargo floor was at thigh level on me and the rear bumper was not obtrusive.
The uplevel, 2-liter, double overhead cam, four-cylinder engine with variable valve timing provided commendable power, even with the Soul's cargo area filled with suitcases and shopping bags.
I did hear the four-cylinder buzziness at times when pressing the car to accelerate on uphill road sections. But the engine response and power delivery was pleasing, not at all lagging. Torque peaks at 148 foot-pounds at 4,800 rpm, and the Soul weighs less than 3,000 pounds and can feel sprightly on the roads.
Without trying at all, I averaged 29.1 mpg, which is just over the combined city/highway mileage that the federal government estimates in combined city/highway travel.
The tester did not include the automatic engine shutdown and restarting feature. Note that Kia engineers add a more durable starter and alternator with this feature to ensure those stop/starts don't require earlier starter and alternator replacements.
Fit and finish on the test Soul was excellent, and fabric seats were comfortable in summer heat and pleasant looking. But, I could have used some additional lumbar support in the Soul's front passenger seat when I sat there over a three-hour trip.

Kia wins viral video award
Mashable's list consists of a variety of advertising campaigns, chosen for their widespread appeal and innovation, but mainly for understanding the target audience and being creative about engaging the consumer.
Created by David&Goliath, KMA's advertising agency of record, "Share Some Soul" finds three hamsters rolling through an apocalyptic landscape in an aptly named "Alien Green" 2012 Kia Soul with this summer's hottest song, "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO - number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks - blasting from the hatchback's new 350-watt Infinity®1 audio system. The hamsters bring style and flair to a dark and dreary scene with their fluorescent Hamstar® street wear and quickly capture the attention of battling robots when they emerge from their Soul and begin performing the latest dance trend, shuffling. Just as the Kia Soul infuses fun and personality into the compact CUV segment, the Hamsters' positive energy causes the alien robots and humanoids to stop fighting, drop their weapons and shuffle and party together.

IIHS announces 115 Top Safety Picks
In all, 69 cars, 38 SUVs, 5 minivans, and 3 pickups earn Top Safety Pick. The award recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rollover, and rear crashes based on ratings in Institute evaluations. The ratings, which cover all 4 of the most common kinds of crashes, help shoppers pick vehicles that offer the highest levels of crash protection. Because the federal government now requires all 2012 and later passenger vehicles to have electronic stability control to help drivers avoid loss-of-control crashes, ESC no longer is a requirement to win as it was in prior years.
The winners' circle includes 18 new recipients for 2012, while 97 models that previously qualified for the 2011 award carry over to 2012.
"For the second year running a record number of models qualify," says Institute president Adrian Lund. "It's tough to win, and we commend auto manufacturers for making safety a top priority."
That commitment to protecting people in crashes is evident in the fast pace of design improvements automakers have made during the past year. Initially 66 vehicles qualified for last year's award as less-than-perfect rollover ratings held back many contenders. Later the number climbed to 100 as manufacturers redesigned roofs to make them stronger or introduced new models to win. The Institute's rolling test schedule allows for recognition of additional winners throughout the year, so many 2012 models qualified for a 2011 Top Safety Pick.
Again this year every major automaker has at least one winner. Subaru remains the only manufacturer with the distinction of earning awards for every model it builds. Subaru picks up 5 awards, including one for the redesigned Impreza, a small car.
About the award: The Institute awarded the first Top Safety Pick to 2006 models and then raised the bar the next year by requiring good rear test results and ESC as either standard or optional equipment. In 2010, the Institute toughened criteria by adding a requirement that all qualifiers must earn a good rating for performance in a roof strength test to assess protection in a rollover crash.
The Institute groups winners according to vehicle type and size. Lund advises consumers to keep in mind that size and weight influence crashworthiness. Larger, heavier vehicles generally afford better occupant protection in serious crashes than smaller, lighter ones. Even with a Top Safety Pick, a small car isn't as crashworthy as a bigger one.
How vehicles are evaluated: The Institute's frontal crashworthiness evaluations are based on results of 40 mph frontal offset crash tests. Each vehicle's overall evaluation is based on measurements of intrusion into the occupant compartment, injury measures recorded on a 50th percentile male Hybrid III dummy in the driver seat, and analysis of slow-motion film to assess how well the restraint system controlled dummy movement during the test.
Side evaluations are based on performance in a crash test in which the side of a vehicle is struck by a barrier moving at 31 mph. The barrier represents the front end of a pickup or SUV. Ratings reflect injury measures recorded on 2 instrumented SID-IIs dummies representing a 5th percentile woman, assessment of head protection countermeasures, and the vehicle's structural performance during the impact.
In the roof strength test, a metal plate is pushed against 1 side of a roof at a displacement rate of 0.2 inch per second. To earn a good rating for rollover protection, the roof must withstand a force of 4 times the vehicle's weight before reaching 5 inches of crush. This is called a strength-to-weight ratio.
Rear crash protection is rated according to a 2-step procedure. Starting points for the ratings are measurements of head restraint geometry — the height of a restraint and its horizontal distance behind the back of the head of an average-size man.
Seat/head restraints with good or acceptable geometry are tested dynamically using a dummy that measures forces on the neck. This test simulates a collision in which a stationary vehicle is struck in the rear at 20 mph. Seats without good or acceptable geometry are rated poor overall because they can't be positioned to protect many people.

We bought our 2nd Kia from Jim Hamman this weekend. Though from Washington, Jim and the team behind him are able to beat the local Kia dealer's best deal. This time we ventured out with an Optima Hybrid to ease our monthly gas bill. Thanks Jim for the hours invested in helping us get a deal that honored our budget. -wilgud- See Jim Hamman for the best deal.. Everything they say about him is true. He bought us sandwiches and kept my child entertained through the process of buying our 2012 Kia Soul. We are not the kind of people who would EVER buy a new car, but for this price- and a 10 YEAR warranty.. We are saving tens of thousands of dollars! Jim is a warm, fun loving person, and you will enjoy your experience with him. Check out Kelly Blue Book before you buy a car; The average SUV will cost you 100k over 10 years. If you intend to hold on to your car for longer than 5 years, and you care about impressive savings, buy a Kia from Jim Hamman. -TK

Thank you to Anna and Kevin for sharing these wonderful reviews! Great work team!
After reviewing the ads for the three local Kia dealerships I found that Broadway Kia had the best deal and largest selection. I called and talked to Jim Hammon to confirm they had the vehicle I was looking for. Then knowing I was going to have to trade in my beloved F150 we drove to the dealership to "just test drive". Once I got there Jim had the vehicle I called about up front and waiting for me. Since Jim took the time to allow me to look at various vehicles to locate exactly what I wanted, I ended up purchasing my new Kia Soul. The sales group at Broadway was willing to negotiate terms in a low pressure environment. They worked together to find me the best deal while maintaining a friendly, no pressure attitude. The sales environment was so good that I drove back the next day to locate some accessories for my new Soul where Jim meet me and once again made me feel at ease. While also taking the time to introduce me to the service staff he confirmed that all their requirement services were completed prior to me leaving. Due to Jim's friendly demeanor to make me feel at ease I will continue to drive my vehicle to Broadway Kia for its regular maintenance.- Our experience with Broadway Kia A+. My wife and I came into Broadway Kia to look at a used 2011 Kia Sorento and thanks to Broadway Kia and Derek Benadum my wife and I are proud owners of a BRAND NEW 2012 Kia Sorento. Derek listened to our needs in a new vehicle, understood our budget and got us an awesome deal that we could not pass up. I would recommend Broadway Kia to anyone who is looking for a great car and a hassle free negotiation, just make sure you ask for Derek! -Kevin

Thank you to the authors of these great reviews for sharing their experiences with us!
- GREAT VALUE.... I dont like car shopping, and hate the feeling that I get when I go into a dealership and there is a group of salesmen hovering like vultures ready to claim their prey!! I heard that Broadway Kia was different, so I decided to give them a try. When I arrived I was greeted by one person, Flash who was very friendly and personable.....I wanted to look at a new sorento, but it was a little out of my price range. Flash asked me if he could make a sugestion. I ended up buying a beautiful 2011 with low miles and saved 10000. Thank you Broadway Kia for your honest and up front way of doing business. And above all thanks Flash for saving me a ton of money. In the future I will buy all my a cars at Broadway Kia...... -Rudy
- William The whole buying experience was pleasant. Mike Lombard told us that when we came in we would not have to talk to 14 people and it would be easy and quick. He kept his word. Introduced us to the service department and explained that the first oil change was on them. Thumbs up Broadway Kia -Patrecia
- I was very interested in learning about the models of Kias available but was confused about many of the details and options available, I decided to go into Broadway Kia and ask someone for help, when I went in Mike Lombardi introduced himself and took me through each model and answered all my questions in a knowledgable forthright manner, I was very impressed with his attitude and his overall demeaner, if you need someone to answer your questions about kias he is the person to see, THANKS A MILLION! -Jim
- Great SUV! Great experience! My wife and I are very happy with our buying experience at Broadway KIA. We've been looking at SUV crossovers for a while and have been keeping our eye on Foresters, but were not ready to buy. On 11/20/11, while coming back from a Powell's run, we decided to look at what KIA had to offer and stopped into Broadway KIA. We really had no intention to do anything other than price out the offerings, but then we met the very nice sales rep Jerome, who took us for a test drive of the Sportage. We were impressed with the vehicle and liked that Jerome didn't pressure us to make a decision. He just let the Sportage speak for itself, asked us what we were looking for and showed us how the Sportage fit those needs. We decided to work the numbers and see how we could get that particular vehicle. At that point, the sales manager Derek became involved and the fun really started. We had a price point in mind and both Derek and Jerome did everything they could to meet it. Throughout the entire process, I felt they listened to us and did everything they could to accommodate our requirements. In the end, we drove off the lot in a 2012 Sportage that my family loves. Thank you Jerome and Derek. -Roger
- Mario at Broadway Kia was GREAT! My husband and I drove from Eastern Oregon to look at a Optima SX and we were so impressed with the way Mario presented the car that we ended up buying it. We love the car, happy that we went to Broadway. Thank's for the GREAT buying experience!!! -Maria

Blake Griffin Shows His Cool in New 2012 Kia Optima Ads
Earlier this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show , the towering basketball player made an appearance in a custom basketball-themed Optima. Together, he and Kia’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Michael Sprague, introduced two new spots that feature the sly and cunning Griffin talk about Kia’s UVO system and its safety ratings.
Griffin first became the face of Kia when he leaped over the hood of a 2012 Kia Optima for a slam dunk, which allowed him to win the 2011 Slam Dunk Contest. Chances are if the lockout continues, we’ll see much more of Griffin in future Kia promotional materials…
Thank you to the author of this great review for the wonderful feedback! Keep up the great work Tom!

Toyota Begins Corolla Production in Mississippi!
Thank you to Jessica for sharing her wonderful feedback with us!
- I recently went to several local dealerships to test drive SUV's. I was pleasantly surprised at Broadway Kia, Jerome greeted me and my daughter out in the rain, and offered to take us for a test drive. He installed the carseat in the back for me, and also hit the "child lock" button so my daughter couldn't open the door with her foot. I did my financing through them as well and really felt that I got a good deal. All of the employees that I dealt with were very friendly and professional. I ended up buying a new Sorrento and LOVE my new car! I would reccomend them to anyone that is looking for a new Kia (or they had lots of used cars too). -Jessica

- I was very impressed and surprised with my service at Broadway Kia. Bryan was extremely helpful and quickly found a car that best fit me and my needs and one that was in my budget. I was also given a quick refreshment coarse on a 5 speed transmission since I was a little rusty and the car I wanted had one. After the test drive Richard explained the price and monthly payments simpley and painlessly, So I would recommend Broadway Kia to anyone and will return for my next purchase! -Audrey
- Very pleased with the customer service at Broadway KIA, My Salesman Mario was curtious and answered all the questions that I had. He was very professional and efficient and making buying a comfortable process. They even took their time to find me exactly what I wanted since they didn't have it on their lot. New Kia Ray Mini with Sliding Rear Door Introduced in South Korea
Today, Kia released the first images of a new A-segment mini called the Ray, which will be sold exclusively in the company’s home market of Korea.
Bypassing its boxy shape that is reminiscent of the Scion xB and Nissan Cube models, one of the highlights of the new Ray is the sliding passenger side rear door that promises to enable easier passenger entry and exit in tight parking spaces, as well as to provide room for bulky cargo.
Interestingly, the Ray features a regular rear door on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Kia adds that its new tall city car has a highly versatile interior space for both passengers and cargo.
The automaker has not yet released any information on the Ray's mechanical hardware.

"I am looking to purchase a new vehicle in the next couple of months, so I have been visiting local dealerships to get an idea for what I want. I stopped by Broadway Kia and the sales person, Mo Madani was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable about all of the vehicles. He was very responsive to my needs and price range and I have decided on the Kia Rio. When I am ready to make my purchase I will go back to Mo and gladly recommend his service to others!" - Stephanie

Kia Rio is off to the races, Optima Hybrid selected as pace car
Kia has only been racing for two years, but during this past season of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the plucky Korean brand recorded both its first-ever first place finish and won the driver and team championships for the entire season. Teams don't usually win their first race and wind up champions in the same season.
So Kia's good at racing, so good in fact that it plans to augment its program with a new B-Spec racer based on the recently redesigned Rio 5-door, as well as introduce a new pace car for the United States Touring Car Championship based on the Kia Optima Hybrid.
The new Rio 5-Door B-Spec racer will be made available to teams to compete in a variety of series, from World Challenge to GRAND-AM to SCCA and NASA events. The car is designed to meet showroom stock class requirements and will cost $14,000 on top of the purchase of a donor Rio 5-Door. Kia's racing partner, Kinetic Motorsports, is selling the kit and will install it for an extra $6,000. The automaker hopes the Rio's fuel efficiency will give it a leg up against competition on the track, which will likely include the Mazda2, Honda Fit and Ford Fiesta, among other showroom stock small cars.
Kia also provides the pace cars for USTCC and has decided that the Soul's run has come to an end. Instead, the 2012 season will see a Kia Optima Hybrid leading the field during warm ups and caution flags. Kia went with GoGoGear.com to get the Optima Hybrid ready for track duty (above). They installed a freer-flowing air intake, Magnaflow exhaust system, coil-over suspension system, front splitter and rear wing. The modifications will likely lower fuel economy a bit, but exposing the Optima Hybrid to a new group of potential buyers might be worth the extra fuel.

Kia takes the gold for Best Total Cost of Ownership!
Kbb.com Reports Vehicle Manufacturers With Best Total Cost of Ownership
Audi, Kia Lead Luxury, Non-Luxury Segments with Minimal Depreciation, Low Fuel Costs
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kelley Blue Book www.kbb.com, the leading provider of new car and used car information, today reports the top three luxury and top three non-luxury brands with the lowest average Total Cost of Ownership for the initial five-year ownership period. Based on Kelley Blue Book's analysis, Audi, Lexus and Cadillac (respectively) top all luxury brands, while Kia, Hyundai and Honda (respectively) dominate among all non-luxury brands for lowest average total ownership costs.
Total Cost of Ownership is developed using Kelley Blue Book® Residual Values to calculate depreciation costs. Depreciation plays the largest role in Total Cost of Ownership, followed by the cost of fuel during the ownership period. Kelley Blue Book calculates total ownership costs for new vehicles by applying a sophisticated valuation methodology along with critical financial data from third-party providers.
By reviewing the Total Cost of Ownership for vehicles on their consideration list, consumers can better understand the overall financial implications associated with vehicle ownership through the initial five-year ownership period. Kelley Blue Book's Total Cost of Ownership features easy-to-understand charts and graphs on kbb.com to help car shoppers make informed purchase decisions by breaking down the typical ownership costs for a particular vehicle, including depreciation, expected fuel costs, insurance, maintenance and repair costs, state fees and more.
"The average vehicle typically maintains about 30 percent of its original MSRP after five years of ownership, whereas a handful of vehicles maintain more than 45 percent after the same time period," said Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting for Kelley Blue Book. "The new Total Cost of Ownership data on kbb.com is based on Kelley Blue Book Residual Values, which are used by banks and manufacturers nationwide."
At the brand level, Audi and Lexus currently have the lowest depreciation and best fuel economy among luxury brands, giving them an advantage in low cost of ownership at the luxury level. In addition, Audi, Lexus and Cadillac all offer models that carry a lower MSRP compared to other luxury brands. Combined with their entry-level vehicles, these brands stand out among their competitors for having low overall ownership cost. Audi's Total Cost of Ownership success is primarily driven by the A3 2.0T and A4 2.0T sedan models. Both edge out competitors with their minimal depreciation and stellar fuel economy.
For non-luxury brands, Kia and Hyundai have a number of successful redesigns, greatly improved quality and competitive pricing, which sets them apart from other non-luxury brands in terms of cost of ownership. Key Kia models contributing to the brand's low Total Cost of Ownership include the Rio, Optima and Forte. Additionally, Honda continues to be a reliable choice with strong fuel economy and customer loyalty.
Top Luxury Brands | Average MSRP | Average | Average Total Cost of Ownership (Five-Year Ownership Period)
Audi | $47,506 | $33,467 | $68,866
Lexus | $55,273 | $37,029 | $73,605
Cadillac | $53,684 | $40,028 | $77,680
Top Non-Luxury Brands | Average MSRP | Average | Average Total Cost of Ownership (Five-Year Ownership Period)
Kia | $21,643 | $15,599 | $38,884
Hyundai | $23,359 | $16,688 | $40,092
Honda | $26,301 | $17,120 | $40,862
"Kelley Blue Book's Total Cost of Ownership gives car shoppers a realistic view of what they will spend during the initial one- to five-year ownership period, allowing them to get the most for their dollar in today's economy," said Juan Flores, director of vehicle valuation for Kelley Blue Book. "More informative than simply having the purchase price alone, Total Cost of Ownership empowers car shoppers by including all significant costs that are part of the ownership experience."
Kelley Blue Book's Total Cost of Ownership launched with the redesigned kbb.com in May 2011 and is available free to consumers at www.kbb.com.

Kia and Antenna Magazine Are Pairing up to Make A Retro Surf-Themed Rio
Inside of the Kia Rio you can expect to find a 1980’s gaming console, a record player, and even shelves if you want to put away your shoes and swimsuits. However, there is definitely one flaw in this custom Rio. They forgot to put a surf rack on top of the vehicle, which would make it much easier to transport your boards to the beach.
That is not only the design flaw we can see in this special Rio. For instance, they decided to put the vinyl record player underneath the shelves which can contain your shoes and swimsuits. This is a poor decision when it comes to the design of the car, because if someone actually wanted to use the record player, sand could get on it from the shoes and swimsuits. I believe we all know that sand and record players do not typically go hand-in-hand with each other. Kia plans on showing off this custom Rio on November 1st.

Could the Kia GT be produced with something other than a V6?
AutoExpress recently took the time to sit down with Kia design guru Peter Schreyer for a chat about the company's GT Concept that debuted at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. Schreyer is understandably keen to bring the front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sedan to market, though he isn't necessarily wedded to the 400-horsepower turbocharged V6 under the concept's hood. Schreyer said that any number of drivetrain options could conceivably work, including hybrid and smaller displacement powertrains. The designer believes that Kia could still produce an executive sedan with the performance that buyers want while still maintaining excellent fuel economy.
That would certainly help make a more solid business case for the range-topping model. Schreyer also made it clear that while the GT would likely be successful in the U.S. and Chinese markets, the design lends itself to global sales. This all sounds good to us, but it's worth noting that the ultimate fate of any production model based on the GT Concept rests in the hands of the decision makers at Kia.

Congratulations to Jim for earning a (4) Star Review on Yelp!
- I was a first time buyer in the market for a certified used Kia Soul. I reached out to a salesmen by the name of Jim Hamman via the Broadway Kia site. Jim has been selling cars for 12 years and has excellent customer service skills. As you can imagine since I was a first time buyer and on a limited income I was quite anxious. Jim notified me of what they had in stock and offered to show me all the different options. He was knowledgeable and ended up staying way after closing. Though he was persistent, I could tell that our satisfaction was a big concern. We ended up making an agreeable deal and I am very happy with my car. Even after the purchase he continued to be hospitable and even gave us his personal cell # and said if we had any questions or concerns to call him at anytime. -Lyle M.
